Spring Has Sprung at Langton Field
Spring has sprung!
We are so excited at everything that has been going on so far this year, and that is still to come. We think 2025 is going to be a great year for us, we think, and it really has started off positively, even if we are only a few months in so far.
In November last year we welcomed baby Sonny into our family, so that has certainly kept us busy; but we all know that when it comes to farming and running your own business, you have to keep working no matter what! Having a new baby in the family can’t slow down progress though, so we’re so pleased to announce that we are currently expanding our caravan park at Langton Field to have another 7 plots available to buy.
Our new plots are currently being built, and are close to the barns with our sheep in, who are busy themselves with lambs. There really is a lot to celebrate in sunny Appleby in Westmorland, and we’re so pleased that we’re going to be able to welcome half a dozen brand new families onto the site in the next year.
We also still have another caravan for sale on our site currently, and are happy to organise viewings for anyone who may be interested in this unit, or one of the new ones being built. We know that having a caravan is a big commitment, so we are thrilled to be able to have a ‘show’ caravan for sale so that we can help people understand what they get when they invest in a holiday home in Cumbria.
As you can see, it really is all go on the farm and on the caravan site, as well as with the family! So we really hope that you don’t mind that we haven’t updated the blog in a while, we’ve had a lot going on, but are so pleased that it’s quite positive. Spring really is a lovely season to be in Cumbria, so we’ve finally managed to sit down and write a blog to update you all. It’s so nice to look out over our fantastic view from the farmhouse, and the view is even better for the caravan park, so we hope the families who stay on our park fall in love with Cumbria as much as we have. At the moment, it’s so peaceful and we can hear the birds – plus a few of our sheep chatting away – and the sun is shining on the hills.
This is the main reason that we’re expanding; we want even more families and couples to be able to enjoy the view that we get every day, and to be able to see the changing seasons. It feels like Spring has just landed on us suddenly, but the great thing about owning your own holiday home here is that as soon as the weather brightens up you can pack up and drive over to stay whenever you like. We love to see the families coming and going each weekend, or maybe staying through the week at times. We also like to think that being part of a working farm definitely adds to our charm too, and the fact we are a small family business.
There’s quite a lot of negatives being chatted about on the news and in the media, but it’s much harder to listen to it when your alternative is to go for a lovely walk through the Cumbrian hills, with the sun on you and the wildlife chirping. It most definitely isn’t all bad in the UK – and if you’re looking to buy a new holiday home, or to find a new site for your caravan then please do get in touch with us. We are happy to help, even if you just need some advice or are interested in the area that we are lucky enough to call home.
